Yordas Group is a leading provider of scientific, environmental, human health, global regulatory, sustainability and product stewardship consulting services. Yordas has a solid and internationally recognised reputation as a provider of training, advice and services to ensure compliance across the globe, with regional representation and service providers in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.



The Challenge


Yordas operates in a highly regulated market, where registration revenue peaks in trade cycles. We looked at strategic growth options of other revenue streams to balance revenue. The business also needed to fund a digital service offering and wanted to fund the buyout of a minority shareholding.


The Solution


We undertook a detailed review of the environmental and scientific consultancy market that mapped out suitable growth areas for Yordas. The review identified where the global expansion should be focused and helped drive the group strategy. Potential bolt-on acquisitions were studied and valuations appraised during the review. Cashflow was monitored to ensure that the timing of digital solutions and shareholder buybacks were phased accordingly. Significant improvements in management information helped improve the focus on revenue growth, liquidity and profitability.


Our Achievements


During our association with the group, sales have increased over 300%, profits have improved by nearly 400% and the digital investment and buyback achieved from cashflow not lending. The company has just opened new offices in Canada and Germany and future exciting opportunities await the group, including further bolt-on acquisitions.
