Case Study – Wrangle Limited

Wrangle brings together over 100 years experience within the construction industry, dealing with both non-contentious and contentious construction matters of varying size and complexity. Their clients range from main contractors, sub-contractors and owners, within all sectors of construction and infrastructure. By providing an independent pair of eyes, they offer a clear and structured process to all construction disputes.

The Challenge

The company was approached to acquire a complementary business that would have both propelled it into being a significant multi service surveying firm but also taken it into the main construction sector. We conducted a viability study to determine if this was a positive option or not.

The Solution

Ridgetown undertook detailed financial and commercial due diligence on the proposed company acquisition and the sector. Our financial modelling secured finance to purchase the company, but our research work uncovered a number of problematic issues that suggested caution was required. Our recommendation was accepted and the company was not purchased. Subsequent developments proved this to be the correct decision.

Our Achievements

Ridgetown’s expertise and understanding of the sector was instrumental in protecting our client from a damaging outcome. Having avoided this option, the focus was instead placed on growing the business into clear profitable revenue streams that had longer term potential and security for the company.

“Ridgetown’s expertise helped guide us through some challenging decisions. With their help, we have placed our focus firmly on growing our business and building profitable revenue streams.”
